About me

My family moved to Charlotte in 1986; over the years, as I went to college and graduate school and started having kids, I moved around a little bit, but Charlotte was always home. I'm so glad I've been able to raise my children here and see them go to CCS and CVU, just like I did.

Most people in Charlotte and Hinesburg know me as a journalist; for a decade I've covered local news as a reporter and editor for The Citizen, The Shelburne News, The Charlotte News, and the online newspaper I founded, The Charlotte Bridge. I volunteer at the Charlotte Senior Center for Monday Munch, I deliver Meals on Wheels, and have volunteered with the Hope Lodge and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. I also spent years on the board of the CCS PTO and dedicated a lot of time volunteering in the classroom and running special events at the school like the spelling bee and the variety show. I'm invested in our community and our state, and I've been passionate about volunteer work since I was a teenager.

Speaking of teenagers: I have three sons who are 17, 15, and 12. They're the best people I know. We have two dogs, Maple Syrup and Auggie Waffles.
